No - HomeKind is non-medical companion care. We don't provide nursing, personal support worker (PSW) services, or administer medication. We offer companionship, errands, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation.

Yes, wherever possible we schedule the same companion for every visit. Consistency builds trust - and trust is the foundation of good care.

We require 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule a visit. There are no long-term contracts - you can start or pause care at any time.

Yes. Companions can transport clients to appointments, errands, or outings using their personal vehicle. HomeKind carries non-owned automobile liability coverage for this purpose.

We match based on language, cultural background, personality, hobbies, and schedule. We take this seriously — the right match makes all the difference.

Absolutely. All HomeKind companions undergo a criminal background check including vulnerable sector screening. HomeKind carries $2M liability insurance including non-owned auto coverage.

No HST is charged on personal care and companion services in Ontario. Your rate of $39/hr is the full amount — no tax added.
